CSiCol is a comprehensive software package used for the analysis and design of columns, efficiently addressing the design of columns of any concrete, reinforced concrete, or composite cross-section. CSiCol provides a 'Quick Design Wizard' tool that will guide you step-by-step through the entire process of column design.

CSiCol's quick design wizard provides access to all forms needed during abutment dimensioning, simplifying the process, making it clearer, more organized and more efficient. Calculations can be performed according to the main international regulations. Both dimensioning and detailed cross section analysis are interactive processes that respond immediately to every change made by the user.

The program can dimension the column sections for the axial forces and moments specified directly by the user, or increase the moments to take second order effects into account, following the recommended methodology in the selected standard. An unlimited number of action combinations can be considered in dimensioning, which can be entered directly via the user interface, or imported from text files or ETABS models. In addition, the program has the ability to automatically determine buckling lengths, based on the column boundary conditions.

The program can generate a wide variety of results. The output includes the interaction capacity surface, axial stress and moment interaction diagrams, moment-curvature diagrams for the various failure criteria, stress interaction, stresses in cracked section, point load location, depth, and orientation of the neutral axis. , among others. The reports can be customized by the user, adding information and graphs of their choice.

The program includes a wide range of parametric sections and a significant database of metal sections, which can be used to build composite sections. However, the program is completely generic and flexible, allowing the definition of any complex geometry. It includes tools for the rapid creation and drawing of reinforcing bars and their positioning.
